Yeah, Erudite SK's are rare. I'll be starting up a Wood Elf Warrior eventually sometime as a fun side project. On my classic server, I only ever remember seeing 1 Wood Elf Warrior that raided. Was funny when most (including myself) would confuse him for a Ranger.

According to Verant, back in 2001, or whenever kunark first came out - the warrior was suppose to be only beaten in melee dps by the Rogue and Monk. Since they do not have the spells and such that other tanks have, they rely on their dps + taunt to keep their threat levels high. I think bard is pretty low on the dps - could be wrong though. And Necro/mage dps is pretty close to a wizards?

This is all about time horizon.

But over the course of an entire group experience/raid (provided pets are out, which in some cases they wouldn't be), necro/mage will be higher.

Necro DoTs are way more mana efficient for the damage they deal then any nuke, and when resists aren't all wonky then certain ones are almost impossible to resist. The boiling blood line & splurt should be really hard to resist for mobs that aren't immune to fire/magic, lifetap DoTs are unresistable. To top it off their mana regen is significantly higher than a wizard. If you're fighting a mob that is going to take 5+ min to kill a necromancer, even without a pet, is going to far out-pace a wizard in DPS.

Of course only one necromancer is capable of doing this damage, while multiple wizards can nuke the same mob.

Bard melee was supposed to do 60% of warrior dps. Something that in the end was even lower. Going to google for some FoH graphics on the subject.

Would be nice to see a "true" parse of dps, in other words a fight lasting 5min or longer. 1minute could be subject to lucky crits and such.

How about a parse from a planar raid perhaps?

Haha, Cleric of Innoruuk? I can easily find some logs of KC/Chardok/Seb mobs where I beat rogues/monks as a warrior. I can also find logs of me discing Mighty Strike in berserker frenzy doing dps that'd make a monk or rogue cream his pants. But usually I can't out-dps a monk or rogue.
