I tried getting people interested in turning red a few months back while waiting for kunark, there was no interest in it.

There is still no interest in it, except for the 5 guys that spam the server 100x a day trying to get their own red99 instead of just turning red. Some people just can't handle the competition when you're not allowed to train a whole zone and call it "pvp"

Hopefully one day there will be a red99, and aaaaaalllllll of this pvp bs goes away. /dreams

wrong! there is a big difference between fooling around on a blue server after handing in the book of discord and actually playing in a full red environment

i forsee at least 200 people at launchday of red p99 (if not more). blue population is just scared to lose numbers on blue p99, thats why they are against red

I would love to see a red99, making big assumptions but id bet a lot of the people that leave 99 for it are the trainers, troublemakers, ksers, and douchers. A lot of these hardcore pvpers seem like lowbrow clubswingers that can't come up with a solution to a problem other than destroy it.

someone would say thats a win win situation for both servers

more farming on blue, more drama on red FTFW!

I don't know about that. I certainly feel the exact opposite - this server is so overpopulated* that access to anything worthwhile anywhere outside of late nights and mornings is usually hopeless. Everything is camped to ridiculous levels of waiting or contention, and a lot of zones are hopelessly stuffed. I often feel that the server would benefit from being split in two, and while I know it won't happen and would create problems of its own, dividing the playerbase just to lessen the content stress is something I would appreciate.

*or top-heavy, rather, as we don't have more players than a typical live server back then, but 75% of the players here are "hardcore", compared to the like 10% of a live server at the time.

Or just make a P99 Magicians & Necromancers mirror server...

I'd be willing to give p99 red a try. I rolled a character on one of the zeks way back and got a paladin to like level 7 or something, fought a bunch of level 5-7 dark elves and ogres etc. Was a lot of fun, we traded back and forth some bronze armor and fine steel weapons and I went to sleep about 4 hours later than I should have.

Macht, you realize that SZ was the rejects from the other zeks. Jinsuko or whatever his name was, went to SZ, started if not ran one of the larger guilds for the first 6 months (dunno what happened then, I quit around that time), and was well received there.
Never heard of him

Your perception seems off to me Envious. I'd imagine most of the people who didn't transfer from TZ would be people who invested too much time to bother, rather than rejects that couldnt hack the server haha. Only thing that was kinda shitty about TZ that could grief you was early Pandemonium cross team healing but eventually every guild turned that way.

I've jousted Tzuten kendrick and other rogues, on my rogue and never really noticed much of a front backstab advantage from them. The "skill" of EMU players you say sucked on live are because two things - a lot of people were young as fuck, I was 16 when EQ came out and I also couldn't dedicate the time to a top tier guild. I remember Telen being some unemployed fucken rich bastard who grinded aa's like 15 hoursa day in Velks with a bot ench/cleric for buffs. The "top" players on live played 10 hours a day and had a sick gear advantage ever since CN - PDM, if you think it was their sick jousting skills that are so much better than Xant or other emu players you said are sub par then I think you're way off.
