Not sure when they fixed it but it was within the last few weeks because I only did the quest maybe 3 weeks ago.

I'm glad I banked it with the hopes that it would be fixed one day. Sure enough here we are, got my classic item back for use with my shammy [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
