This is actually a pretty accurate thread. I honestly prefer red to blue simply due to the population... It's really nice to get a group going and have free range of a zone vs. being in a queue for a group that's miles long. You do deal with the occasional ganks and douchers, but in reality you get to experience a side of the game that you simply don't get in an over crowded server.

Highly recommend making the switch to Red. May be more social than blue simply because you'll see the same folks more often than not.

Red will always suck at this point and the lure of free loot is actually the root of the problem. On blue, when you have all that cool loot you can park your Tesla in the EC tunnel and get the ooo's and ahhh's and you get that feeling of cool accomplishment that so many of us chase in our day to day lives with the cars we drive, clothes we wear, etc. On red everyone is driving the same luxury car as you, lives in a 7 BR house and has the same designer clothes as you. Any feeling of accomplishment is fleeting as you have no one to show off your cool pixels to.

Since you don't actually need any of this loot to kill mobs, and there are almost no other players who aren't guilded with you to use them on in PvP, you burn out quickly and quit after experiencing a couple months of uncontested raiding. It's the same pattern in most MMO's nowadays with the difference being they have new content to bring people back every several months. Only someone with severe mental illness will raid the exact same mobs uncontested for years on end.

mostly inaccurate. the death rate for all spawns on the blue server will always outnumber that on red. you dont say the population is lower? but this isnt Empire anymore, the leadership decided they wouldnt tolerate people lacking social skills and the ability to play respecfully in order siphon pixels for themselves. And the bottom line isnt your pixel or luxury car because well know that won't buy you happiness and enjoyment, its the journey and struggles you undertake and overcome. That's better on red and you know it.

I played on red when i was camping my VP key, got two toons to about 30.

One memory that sticks with me was when a group and myself were in Kuns. All of us wrre fresh out the box with no twinkage and all of a sudden two twinks appeared and tried for some easy text. We managed to fend them off, even killed one. However when twink #2 was repelled a second time it was joyous. Our group continued, xp was had. Until twink #2 came back on his level 60 and proceeded to kill everything in kurns. Then it sucked, it sucked a lot.

Another memory is a guy i ran into with damn near kunark bis on his warrior leveling at graveyard in mm. He told me the best way to get plat, and this is what he did: for three years he had been killing level 15 mobs in the swamp of no hope for gems. 3 years!!!

I refuse to stay level 15 for 3 years or contend with twinks/assholes for virtually the same experience i hav on blue99. At least the twinks on blue dont try to smash my group's cleric into 50000 fucking pieces

There was fun had in group settings and its always like thunder waiting to crack when we saw another pvpable geoup, but inevtably i ran into too many griefers for me to enjoyably play the server

2) What journey and struggles? You auto attack mobs pulled to the entrance of zones. This isn't difficult FF14 or Mythic WoW raids where you're practicing over dozens of wipes to get a boss down culminating in that great sense of accomplishment that you finally mastered it.

3) Social skills? An officer of Apex got fired for robbing the store he worked at and bragged about framing a co-worker to take the fall legally.

Would never try red again...
-Twinks: Ntov twinks every where
-Harassment: Get harassed in ooc because my dark elf wears a purple robe
-No economy: Normal items like a thick leather apron and Ssoy which are hot ticket items, no one will buy.
-No gms: Petitioned a gm and he told me he didnt work for me and the server was free.

Would rather sit in oot for 3 days until my number is called for Ac camp. Aint no competition on red.
