Noob Question: Dark Elf?

So I've gathered a group of friends to start EQ with, will it effect questwise if he choose a dark elf, while the rest of us choose good races?

Quests don't work that way in this game. You'll be able to group with anyone and everyone in the game with no negative drawbacks. Just don't follow them into towns, lol.

I forgot because its been a long ass time, do the guards in the other towns kill Dark Elves ?
