It's possible that you have something messed up with your install. Make sure you are using titanium client and instead of dragging and dropping stuff manually use the installer from my signature to set up the game.

I'm thinking it has something to do with the ping rate of satellite. The server might have a lower time out than EQ does.

Same happened to me when i tried to log today, fast error message on login screen and it wasn't even working on another computer. After a while it fixed by itself and let me login without any problem....
