A job can be made out of anything where a supply can be sold for a demand with a price. There has been a demand for entertainment for a very, very long time.
Other than people streaming themselves playing videos games for
fun (and sometimes for zero profit), it can actually be made into a very lucrative "business" (and not just through donations and subscription).
Just remember, everytime you watch an ad on a streamer's channel, they get a little bit richer.
