The link in the 2nd post explains it. When Velious was released they added new textures to sets of armor (on the old player models). Unfortunately not many people actually used them because by default they were turned off.
To see them you need to find the eqclient.ini file and change the lines; LoadArmor17=FALSE LoadArmor18=FALSE LoadArmor19=FALSE LoadArmor20=FALSE LoadArmor21=FALSE LoadArmor22=FALSE LoadArmor23=FALSE All to TRUE. | ||
