Chechens and Russians have different appearances, cultures, languages and religions.

Saying Chechens are Russians will make you look stupid in Russia and get you in trouble in Chechnya.

This is actually true :/ Just because people are a part of the Russian Federation, doesnt mean they are Russian. That would be like saying Native Americans are American.
