So while I have yet to take a tank much further than the teen levels, I would assume STR isn't a huge deal for tanks. I would think the focus would be on AC and HP/STA items followed by MR(would obviously go in different order for PVP). STR can be compensated for by lots of items while other stats are a little more difficult to obtain. If it were me, I would focus on sta/hps/ac and fill other slots with str gear. I am a big believer in fashonquesting to an extent so I would lean more toward DE over Erudite.

Totally agree, usually a proud member of that camp. The str build is more for fun with the benefit of fungi/haste vs the max dmg low lvl mobs 35 and under can do to a player in gear already far beyond the normal AC for the content. On the red server that str will also play a role in the hits you get on other players, but there are reports out there of 255 avatars slashing for 19. So maybe more lifetaps wins the day at whatever level they happen to be most efficient? No idea, I'm gonna play jazz with it.
