Well, no, but...

You're not far off. There is some truth to the adage, Liberal when young, Conservative when old, Democrat when poor, Republican when rich.

At least, for non-thinking adults who use emotion and instinct for guidance. Whose critical reasoning faculties are crippled, often by religion.

For those of us who reason through things, using our morality for guidance, it is often the opposite, considering that, as in my case, the onset of long term planning and empathy are A) not my doing and B) severely delayed; leading to the realization that we humans are largely shaped by our environment. This slices through those dichotomies, rendering them both poisonous ideologically.

For reference, I'm mid thirties, out from under parent's wing for a decade, stable job for 13 years, and I dunno, I've had some interesting life experiences. I'm a bit of a recluse though, so my "life experience" means "read a lot of things."
