I played EQ on a 3840x1200 (or something similar?) virtual monitor using a TripleHead2Go and threee monitors but I found the vertical dimension was truncated proportional to the increase in horizontal so you have a really narrow slice vertically. YMMV but I found it uncomfortable... I usually ended up with the EQ window in the centre monitor with web browsers open with reference info/chats on the others.
