Ok, so he still is gay. Someone with FBI is just saying he's not so it can be sold as a hate crime? I don't see how him being not gay would help the case for Islam here.

Would be interesting to know why gay people would make up stories that someone who murdered a bunch of them was actually one of them. Must be to disparage the poor bastard's image!

I don't see how that is a winning strategy for the left. The 'best' is to just leave him as a self-loathing gay Muslim seeking redemption. It is far easier to blame society for creating a sense of alienation, hopelessness and justified anger that way.
