Yeah. That's pretty normal for SoCal, especially in the northern parts around LA and such. In the south is predominantly conservatives until you reach downtown San Diego which is kinda liberal. When there are protests, they bus them in from the LA area down, most of them on the clock e.g. like from La Raza (means "the race" a supremacist group).

When Trump was here just the other week, there were near riots, but more up in the liberal north. Well bursts of riots, it was under-reported in mainstream. Likely this summer we'll see lots of riots this year I'm thinking. I don't know about big ones though. I was in LA during those really big riots decades ago, just crazy stuff.
