well you can choose to ally with dwarf and dragon at same time. so i don't see why you are only mentioning to ally with dragons alone?

Dwarves offer quest outside of the armor molds that are worth your time. like the 10th ring or 7th shawl.

You can skip farming thurg armor and raid plane of growth or Hate 2.0 for mid armor pieces and save your gems for dragons.

I guess I managed to be KOS in both Skyshrine and Kael last time, but I suspect that might have been due to various dragon raids. Yes, I'll be non KOS in Thurg and Skyshrine; at least that is the plan.

when you first enter Velious you are kos to giants and dragons and need to work one of them up. but yeah you can ruin your giant and dragon faction easily too which is not practicle.
