I don't think the dress was inappropriate or bad. It was fine and beautiful and she's a beautiful woman.
But it was unprofessional. That's a dress I would wear out to dance. A jacket or a shawl would have been a fine addition. To make it more professional. Though it's still over the top classy showy for a supposedly professional job. It's appropriate to dress down for people to be more interested in your presentation than yourself. The whole dressing down professionalism thing comes from a patriarchal working environment where showing wealth, but being subdued about it is a big thing. Should woman or men be subject to that? Not ideally no. I'd prefer to live in a world were a womans dress is not an issue. It was probably staged, possibly without her consent though. She's choosing to not make an issue out of it, and I respect her for that. 61° is too cold to not dress warmly though [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] | ||
