also many hybrids bring plusses to groups that are not quantifiable and as such, if you actually care about xp penalties you are either a retard or an asshole, probably both

So true. Your average, mid-level xp group is going to be a lot more efficient when an SK or pally is keeping those mobs off the healers and casters, as opposed to some warrior uselessly slapping everything in sight while they furrow their brow in a vain attempt to understand the situation.

Oh...and rangers are also totally worth the xp penalty because who doesn't need feet like cat?
