Of course this server is in development. It's an MMO server. They are always into development until the day they shut down. It's the nature of the genre.

sorry i have been reading a bunch of this thread and i keep seeing people talking about "exemptions" i am not playing yet but i fully intend to be within a week. and am curious as to what is ment by "exemptions"? and even if they still apply?

Complaining about one aspect of a free service when you don't know the details.

It's no different than walking up to a free soup line and complaining why you can't get broccoli soup when you're given chicken noodle. Maybe broccoli is more expensive.

I dunno what an IP exemption entails. Maybe it's just a waiting period to see if the person is intelligent enough to ragequit a few days/weeks into the game just because they didn't get an exemption. Maybe they do the equivalent of strapping a probation tracking device to their account. Who knows.

But to complain about IP Exemptions - when we're getting literally the best EQ classic experience on the market - is a bunch of stupidity. That's like complaining that the silk you wipe your butt with isn't purple instead of the blue you prefer.

Only one player per IP address is allowed to be logged in on this server. It is designed to inhibit "boxing", which is a bannable offense here.

An "exemption" is given when you make a request in the "Petition" sub-forum to allow your IP address to have more than one player logged in at a time.

They grant exemptions in batches, so it may take a day, or it may take several weeks for them to get around to it, as it is a low priority for them. Also, the accounts that have exemptions are subject to heavier scrutiny.

People have a right to complain about anything they feel isn't right or fair, it's the way it's complained about that matters. Saying it respectfully goes a lot further than "fuck you devs" ever will.

thanks humerox i understand what they mean now. its not something i need to worry about unless more than one person at my house wants to play at the same time. which i really doubt anyone really will :P

VZ was a server for those too soft to handle the ruthless play of SZ.

Also, why do people from SZ call PVE people 'bluebies'? You do realize that SZ nametags were blue, too, right?

The server names were color coded on the server select window. PVE normal rules were blue, and PVP were red. FV I believe was gold.
