I like Gong/Colgate as raid leaders and all the Holo guys, but the guilds built and won EQ. That's the road to retirement, I haven't been a part of a Velious progression guild yet I just stood around 90 people led by pros for a month or w/e.

I think a lot of people who haven't experienced Velious would enjoy Tempest for that reason, building a guild from the ground up and progressing is different than joining the top guild and standing there till you wonder what you're doing with your life and just log off forever.

That's great and all. But like the other 15 versions of guilds that have tried this they will all fail. People don't change.
