commons area is probably the "best" place for a new player to level until the orc camps peter off (forgot what level that happens) because you can go to the tunnel (server trade hub) and beg players for high level buffs.
crushbone is kinda fun too, you gotta do it at least once for nostalgia. p sure crushbone messes with some neriak factions tho, and the main neriak faction is really easy to get up, so you may wanna skip cb if you plan on going there in the future.
