EQ is designed to create drama and conflict between players. For some players, that is the part of the game that they find most enjoyable.
Looking for respect from those players is a lost cause. One viewpoint is that a guild member showed a lack of respect during a guild event, and was insufficiently punished. Another viewpoint is that a guild member applied the golden rule in defending a friend and guild mate from an aggressor attacking in jest. Either way, the drama caused outweighs the seriousness of the crime and placed an additional burden on the limited attention of the raid leadership. Not going to defend Retti's blunt way with words. However, he was willing to group up and share my hybrid exp burden back when there was no exp bonus which meant a lot to me at the time. During Velious, you went harder than most and were among the most hardcore of the hardcore. It was supposed to be the 10th ring quest and not the quest for 10 rings. My recommendation would to detox for a few weeks. Ease back into EQ slowly on a more casual level and rediscover what you enjoy about the game.

Quote:
Just to recap and be clear, since OP is full of misinformation and emotion:
This lack of respect that Cyren seems to think he deserves is a joke. It was some auto attacking and spell casting at the zone in of ToV waiting for rest of guild to mobilize. He didn't have any problem tashing stripping debuffing and mezzing guild members, but the minute he got touched he started to cry about being a buff class/officer/loot council and how he was off limits. Cry me a river. And lol'd at 10th ring, not 10 rings. G1 GT.
