Boston ain't too bad around Christmas. It's not very crowded with tourists either around this time, as most of the tourists are in NYC. It really depends on what you like to do?

If you're into Museums, you can do the Institute of Contemporary Art which usually changes up their exhibits monthly and can have some cool shit. Also, the Museum of Science is doing an exhibit on the science behind Pixxar animation. The aquarium is probably one of the most badass outside of the one in Chicago, if you care about that sort of thing.

For drinking, Boston is notorious. However, Happy Hour is illegal here - so, if you're staying in the immediate city, you're going to break out your checkbook for $6 budlights and $15 cocktails. If you go to some of the pub-type areas like Faneuil Hall, you can get that bill a bit lower, but it also gets scummier.

If you like high-end boozing, I recommend the Bristol inside the Four Seasons, Oak-Bar inside the Fairmont Copley or Drink by the waterfront. Drink is pretty cool because they don't have a drink menu - you just tell the bartender what you like and they make something off-the-cuff.

If you like a real, good-ole-fashioned shit-hole, Faneuil Hall area is full of 'em. Try Hennessey's, Bell-in-Hand (the oldest tavern in the country), or Hong-Kong's for Chicken on a Stick and Karaoke.

And, if a lounge is more your speed, I recommend Lolita in Back Bay (best looking women in the city on staff and patronage) or Wink & Nod in the South End.

For food, the best best dining in the city is in the South End by Far. Anything off Tremont Street or Columbus is pretty on-point. North-End has some of the best Italian, as it's the 'Little Italy' equivalent to NYC. Don't eat dinner in Back Bay or around Copley - most of it's over priced and falls short of quality.

Also, make sure you Uber it in Boston and not take cabs. Unlike New York City, Boston is not laid out in a grid, so if you're not familiar with the area, you're going to have no idea you're getting fucked on fare and the cabbies know it.
