We shouldn't regulate speed limits because bad drivers are still going to speed. It just makes good drivers like me take longer to get where we're going.

We shouldn't prohibit open containers of alcohol in the car because drunk drivers are still going to drink and drive. It just inconveniences responsible drinkers like me who want to sip some whiskey on the way to work.

We shouldn't regulate radioactive material because terrorists are still going to get their hands on it to make a dirty bomb. It just makes it harder for responsible nuclear power companies and medical hardware manufacturers to get it.

We shouldn't tax corporations because they are just going to hide their money offshore, exploit loopholes, and do Hollywood accounting. All it does is punish honest corporations who pay their taxes.
