i just don't understand how people get a sense of accomplishment for paying for progress in a videogame. big part of the appeal for p1999 for me is that they don't allow rmt or boxing, though both take place on the server it isn't as rampant as if they were allowed. but then again, we all have different motivations for playing vidya (im trying to escape my shitty hell of a depressing life)

Well, for me the big draw of R99 was end-game pvp and raiding, not grinding up a lvl 1 in rags, I already did that in classic.
For Dota2, I like to look awesome as I slay my enemies.
Money allows for these things to happen without spending precious time "grinding" to achieve the part of the video game that is fun.
It's not rocket surgery man.
