IIRC, the Monk mitigation nerf doesn't come till later in Kunark, not right when Kunark is released. I soloed straight to 60 very effectively with just bandages (no fungi till after I was 60, and no tranq staff till even later) because I stuck to classic (Kunark mobs are harder) and found some not-well-known places to kill stuff.
From 58-60, i soloed nearly exclusively in lower guk and sol B because it was so annoying to even try to get groups in Seb or KC...

We aren't talking about the Monk mitigation nerf that hit during PoP are we? The one that basically made all monks stop playing?
