Thanks to All the Veterans

It's funny how all the criticism and facts posted by ivory are drowned by sheep blaring their thank yous.

Currently there are probably as many people alive who have reason to hate the american military as those who should be thankful. The forums don't seem to reflect this properly.

And even though they picked the right side in two the major conflicts of the last century the American military remains the only armed force to ever drop atomic bombs killing hundreds of thousands of civilians to spare "more valuable" American lives.

Just accept that not everything the US armed forces do is praiseworthy.

That's part of what I meant. In Norrath there is no veterans day today. Nor is it in 99% of the countries in the world. Before coming here I had no idea that there was such a day. Veterans aren't better than a lot of other professions. I'm just wondering if for example Singhalese housewifes get the same respect as American soldiers.
