You had bad dealings with this guy and others before now with account sharing... And you let him keep access to it? It sounds like things got pretty blurry about whether you gave up the account for good or whether you were coming back, which always leads to problems.

Especially in this community, which tends to be socially inept and self-serving. You've got your own culpability in this one though since it's convoluted and you didn't learn your lesson the first time. Honestly you're lucky that GMs restored it, given the circumstances. Take that win, learn the hard lesson which is less costly than it could have been, and enjoy having your char back.

I'm honestly shocked the community rallied around this post, of all things.

It seemed like an unnecessary airing of dirty laundry best left unaired. He got the account back and was lucky to do so... Personally if I were the GM who restored the account I'd be pretty annoyed if the dude followed up my kindness by making me look stupid for restoring it in the first place.
