Specify what an aion clone is. First of all you don't have wings. Aion PvP, when I played, was fucking EXTREMELY unbalanced. It was super retarded. You had classes that were pure PvE oriented trying to engage in PvP in the Abyss and it was just fail. From what I've seen so far in RIFT, you have a lot of options as to specs and abilities. There are even PvP souls you can get.

Aion was a fail grind fest that seduced westerners with the promise of flying heroes.

I played Rift and am really impressed so far. Can't wait for launch. There was like 100 people, in one of the raid groups, raiding the event last night on beta.

I was pretty disappointed with the Rift beta. Also it runs pretty laggy for us folks that have older machines, even with all the graphics turned down.

was tempted to preorder it just so i have something to do until gw2 comes out.
