back when I lived in Switzerland, I was friends with this Estonian guy named Ahto. Around 2 PM he'd always start demanding his "medicine" and wouldn't shut up until we drank a few pints of beer and some vodka. The way he talked about alcohol as his medicine was really endearing to me at the time. About 6 months after I left I heard that he got alcohol poisoning and died on his birthday
