Is killing Tranala and a few chests in CS really that difficult to do? Should only take 30-60minutes, no?
For somebody who doesn't have a raid guild and takes quite a bit to gather a force to kill Tranala it's quite a big deal. This just once again encourages zerg guild mentality i.e. Lord Vyremm requiring 80-100 people with 11-14 clerics in a ch rotation.

Wait... What?

What does a 3-4 mannable mob have to do with Lord Vyemm?

Get a cleric, shaman, tank, melee DPS.

Raid mobs have 1k+ AC, this one 492 according to wiki. Fungy king in seb has 478.
Mob is slowable and attacks only twice per round.
I do not think you need raid gear to take this drake down.
It just takes a bit longer than usual 1 group nameds in Kunark because of the HP.

Might not be obvious to everybody reading, but your casters will need to be L60 to land spells as the mob is L66.

Last week I was in a group of ~ 15 casuals from three different guilds killing dragons in WW. Our last fight of the evening was a very sloppy kill of Travala (near identical stats according to wiki, maybe actually identical in-game, supposedly can also drop the wing.) Our sub-60 shaman and chanter both managed to die quickly trying to slow/debuff him, they were too low and only managed to piss him off. With two clerics healing our L60 SK tanked ok but our melee dps was kinda weak and it was long and very close fight. If the L60 shaman who had been with our crew earlier had not had to log it would've been a pretty straightforward fight, slow is OP as hell in this game.

A group of 60s with readily obtainable gear (i.e. gear readily obtainable by a group of 60s) can kill these drakes. No need to be high-end raiders.

Shaman has to be 60. Malo is unresistable iirc. Then the other debuffs can be cast.

Does p99 lack the +6 level hardcap for players casting on mobs? That was definitely a thing on live, at least during classic era, might even be able to turn up documentation of it. It was apparently very important to prevent those druids & necros from casting their DoTs & Lifetaps on higher level mobs, and just you nevermind the L2 orc blinding a L20 or a L12 ghoul knocking SoW off a L40 with a root proc. At any rate, I've never noticed any of my procs/spells landing on +6 level NPCs here even with debuffs so I've just assumed it was as true here now as it was on live then.
