You may be looking at this the wrong way. It shouldn't have to do with giving up or not. It should have to do with whether you are happy or not with your life. I am 42, married with a little girl and she is the biggest joy in my life by far. Take my daughter out of the equation though. If I look back at my life which includes my wife I have been with for 12 years. An ex wife I was with for 4 years. Another girlfriend of 2 years and two other girlfriends for about a year each. There was a spot in there for about 18 months where I worked, went out with friends to movies, bars, fun. But didn't go on a single date and didn't have sex with anyone. I look back on that time and often think of what a great time in my life that was. Stress free!
