I'm pretty confident charm checks class of caster, not class of spell.

In other words, CHA doesn't affect a druid or shaman's string charm duration.

Malosini on the other hand is a fantastic addition to strings. That being said, when you're stringing level 51 and below mobs, unless its a really MR one, your run of the mill base-stat mob wont break too terribly much and if they do you usually have 9 more charges to go through.

As Eratani said, I really want to duo Ragefire with 2 druids, but I don't have the desire to sock it for 20 hours to do that. Just for the lols of saying two druids killed ragefire.
I am not so confident about charisma not affecting charm, but will admit my evidence is anecdotal. What are you basing your opinion on?

As far as lvl 51 mobs go, I find they break relatively frequently. Frequent enough to be a problem on difficult fights. Indeed, a break by itself can be devastating if you are solo and the break happens on a mob that you cannot tank. Your pet will have to regain agro. Many examples here, but Vessel comes to mind. I believe that I had a break and was forced to either use a CH stick or idol while my pet regained agro.

Ragefire would be interesting. His fear is MR based, and normally you want your charmed pet's MR as low as possible.
