I also walked to and from school alone in the snow barefoot 15 miles uphill both ways.

The ONLY thing I would recommend spending any money on at all is magic boots, maybe a decent 2hb for less than 300pp and maybe the 55 hp rings if you can get a good deal on those too. You can beg a green jade broad sword easy if this is ur first char. Go for hp stats and dont worry about other things until ur 50s. Carry a box of weapons - Level up every weapon skill you can including hand to hand, archery and throwing(I overlooked throwing and it is still level 0 because of that)
