Uberom, do support getting rid of welfare entirely? Or just only allowing it for the worst off in society (the elderly, disabled, etc.)? If so, why not have a two tier welfare system, just give it out to those who can't work, and for those who just won't work, put them on a "work for welfare" plan (I think some states do this - basically you get welfare cheques but they pressure you to get a job and at some point I believe they stop giving you money entirely if you're lazy, or just too picky about jobs). Would this be preferable?
