In Buffalo I could get an entire second floor of a house (sometimes attic included) for as little as $500.00 a month where as in Brooklyn there are single bedroom apartments going for over $1500.00.

Nothing unusual about her rent rate at all.

Haha, I use to rent in Queens and my roommate and I paid $2600 for a 2 bedroom.

NYC is crazy expensive - I went to Uni in New Rochelle and it completely ridiculous. "The rent is too DAMN high" as that crazy black man would say.

Here in Upstate NY it's much, much nicer - and much, much cheaper.

$485 / month for a nice 1BR.
