I was too. I'm probably close to your dad's age too. Anyone who was a kid when the first movies came out is excited.

Only problem is I keep hearing Han Solo dies. It's not surprising considering Harrison Ford wanted him to die in ROTJ.

Other than that I'm excited like a kid again. Fuck the prequels, this looks like the movie I've been waiting for.

I'm cool with that. I expect a "changing of the guard" type of thing, and wouldn't doubt all of the old guard dying. As long as their endings are heroic.

Disappointed they went with Ep7 instead of something new.

Something new as in what?

Apparently Abrams is a big fan of the original trilogy so it's only natural he'd want to sign on to a (distant) sequel of ROTJ.

My Dad was too busy fishing when Star Wars came out, so we missed it on the Big Screen.
I can't wait to take our sons to see it. With this & Star Wars Celebration coming to London in July 2016, it's great.
