Most civil rights issues in the US are hobbies of privileged people, who above all want to make sure we do not start to question the thing that gives them their privilege. The economic system.

Better to draw attention to women's rights, race, which are *very real* -- but they are also distractions.

I prefer a world in which we have both social and economic justice. But until we stop allowing ourselves to be divided and distracted by these subsidiary and often merely symptomatic problems, we will get lots of rights and social mini-revolutions, while the broader trend toward a global oligarchy proceed unimpeded.
