a server restart is not awesome because you can get a shiny new item, what was the most fun about p99 back in 2009-2010 was that most of the population was in the low-mid level range, very social, modestly geared, and new to the content at the time
as opposed to what we have now which is a highly stratified population of 90% level 60s with 100s of soloing fungi twinked iksar monks in every zone

I happen to agree with you, but its not that folks are missing the point. They get the point. Its that their idea of fun is not the same as yours (or mine).
