But if you kill him in under 2 minutes the lifetap is honestly a completely forgettable ability. Might as well be a 45 second death touch. It's nothing special. besides, chances are he would lifetap the tank and in order to counter that with rune you would have to be chain rune-ing your tank for the fight. While this is definitely an effective strategy it's not necessary for a mob that does so little damage. But, as somebody said before, there are lots of ways to do this and no wrong answer.
