i have no incentive to take back a level 50 mage with low playtime and who does nothing at raids because he smoked too much weed

I could care less what the people I'm guilded with do for a living, where they live, what their income is, their jail record, their height or weight, race or creed. Believe it or not I don't even care if these virtual people, whom I will almost certainly not meet, like me or not.
