Hah. I had no idea he did that to other people. We had a little incident at seafury isle once (on his mage Uaellean). He tried to KS, failed, then died a little later when he pulled too many seafuries. I taunted, he banned.

when I was a guide on VZ during Velious, I passed info about Defiant & friends to Prophets/Vexare leadership and played some of their chars on raids. never got caught. I eventually requested a transfer to another server and started playing on VZ for a bit.

considering that Sirken tried to prop Deru up as "uncorruptable" its kind of ironic that Deru was corrupt

makes sense though that Deru claimed to have a hate-on for RMT while he was doing it himself. it's like the Republicans who claim to hate the gays and then get caught getting a blowie from some twink they found at the mall.

Not really, there was actually a problem with guilds not progressing through Luclin raid content when the expansion was released, because the content was much more difficult and the loot was worse than NToV.

AAs made it a lot easier though, so then you had several guilds all competing for Vulak on each server, which is why they added the ring event. It limited how many guilds could kill Vulak, as well as push people into Luclin content.

Velious gear was just too good.

From what I've heard Deru ran into money troubles and/or substance abuse issues and needed the money.

Don't fall for the whole "Incorruptible" GM's the staff talks about.
