Just make sure that the merchant you're selling them back to is amiable, to reduce the loss. It's not much, I think it was 1% loss. Gold bar cost around 10pp, electrum 2.5pp and silver are 0.5pp. I think platinum are around 100p, but can't remember. Peridots are around 10pp too.
They're also handy for my monk - a bar weighs 0.3 per stack, whereas it weighs 1.0 for 40 coins. | ||
