I have a BoH and usually equip weapons and play the following for melee centric groups. Given the insta-click on BoH, I can usually keep all 5 up.

Niv's (Boh Click)
VoV
Hymn
Chant of Battle
Psalm of cooling

I am level 52.

If I am slower, I'll twist that in as needed. Or a resist song as needed. If mana is low I twist in manasong as much as I can, but the pulse nature of it can be frustrating.

This is my first bard (played Wiz and Rog on live), so any comments on the above twist are appreciated.

Thanks!

If your group needs your dps then the group isn't very good. Use an instrument if you think the mod is helping your group more than your dps (and your dps shouldn't even be noticeable in a good group). The only bad thing is the group can often think you are a slacker if they don't see you swinging.

I was chain pulling like crazy, keeping mobs in our camp at all times (and also CCing) while still throwing out some songs for the group. Someone tried to call me out on slacking after he just said the exp was amazing. I don't know who he thought was pulling and locking down the mobs. This for some reason doesn't seem to be too uncommon either.
