| Zoning issues? Just built a brand new machine. I've got everything up and running but have experienced a bit of a problem and I"m not sure if anybody has come across this before. When the game loads after log-in or zones, I don't see the splash screen/progress bar. The client says "Program not responding" and my cursor changes to the windows 7 cursor. The funny thing is, I don't crash to desktop. If I'm logging in, I'm brought to the character select screen, then i can select my character, and it happens again and I'm in. If it's between zones, the splash screen never appears, and then I zone. Anybody run into this problem? Anybody have any suggestions? Computer's an i5 4690K (3.5Ghz), Asus Z97-Pro motherboard, 16GB of Ram, and a 780GTX video card. Hard drives are in a RAID 5 configuration. | ||

| The first thing I would check is to see if your harddrive is the issue. I've never run into this problem, but if I had, what I would try is running P99 off of a flash drive just to see if it is, indeed your hard drive. Next I would check permissions, always run as admin and add EQ to your whitelist for whatever firewall/virus protection you have. Not sure if that will work, but like I said, these are the steps I would take =p

| It depends on the zone for me. Rarely do I get splash screens. If you don't crash I wouldn't worry about it. I play in windows mode so that might be my issue. Sometimes the whole window shifts down right a bit then back up when I zone, as I haven't found a fix to play in full screen yet. Tbh I like windows mode anyways. It allows me to have instant access to my other screen. | ||

I'm going to try to run it in Windows xp mode, to see if that fixes the issue, or maybe I will try WinEQ. The game itself runs fine, no hitches/glitches, etc....just that annoying "did this crash or not" feeling every time you zone is troublesome.

| Business as usual for me since i started playing, and depends on my inet connection. The game always goes through a "not responding" period, but usually it only lasts a few seconds. When the connection is bad, it'll hang there until I dc.

I crashed a few times loading the game, but after that I didn't crash again. I never crashed while zoning, just window mode says program isn't responding and then i magically pop in the next zone.

| So running it in XP mode seemed to resolve the issue. I am randomly getting hitches, and I assume that's when people zone into whatever zone I'm in though. | ||
