Says protocol was broken. She either didn't put on all her PPE or did not take it off in the right order -- or touched her face with gloves or whatnot.

So are you missing part of the point I was making? Even medically trained and properly suited up professionals are able to become infected while they're supposed to be containing this shit. What about the untrained ignorant every day idiots? Even just one could be devastating. And there is bound to be at keast one.

And with a huge incubation period too...

Complaining about it on internet forums doesn't change that it may or may not happen. Yes a huge infection outbreak could occur, bubonic plague and other diseases through history have caused massive death and infection. Scarlet fever, yellow fever, etc.

They either come up with a cure or vaccine for it, or you have a chance to get infected. It's really that simple, and if ebola can be transferred via animals/plants/insects/water, it'll spread one way or another.

So what is the point you are trying to make? That people should be scared? If so what does that solve?

No. Not trying to scare people. I think we need to be better informed about it though. It has an unusually high mortality rate and is extremely infectious, can live for days outside the body, etc.. Plus the whole "no cure" thing. Just because we don't live in the third world, or work in a hospital in direct contact with Ebola patients doesn't mean we should just blow it off like it's not a problem.

Ok. Tired of arguing about it. People don't like my opinion its completely fine with me. Nothing wrong with talking about it whether it's here on a stupid gaming forum or with others out in the world. If I'm saying anything here that isn't true I'd love to hear about it.

She was in the trenches. The average ignorant everyday idiot is not. Ebola isn't easy to catch/spread. And so far, not one average ignorant everyday idiot Murican (redundant?) has contracted it.

Well shit guys. Maybe you're right. It probably won't be a problem here. I'm so relieved, especially now that the CDC guy in charge removed the sick nurse in Texas from under the bus she was tossed under when it became known that it was their fault that it spread.

He admits now they screwed up in adequately preparing US medical personnel by having their stupid "site managers" doing useless shit like posting fucking FLYERS on bulletin boards (hi nurses, pls visit our website for infoz on protecting yourselves) instead of having the appropriate CDC people providing training and implementing a halfway decent plan in case people get sick here.

My favorite thing (before the nurse was diagnosed) was when that guy in charge said that any American hospital can handle Ebola patients. Lol that was fucking priceless! I really hope the thousands of our troops going over to Africa to help are better prepared for what they're gonna face there, because this lame-ass shit isn't gonna cut it.

I'm sure I'm not the only one with valid concerns about the people who are supposed to be in charge being complete retards.
