Open your Options window. On the General tab there is a spot to change your font on the bottom, right-hand side of the page. Try mucking around with that to see if that fixes it.

I have had the issue on every Emu server ive played on for Eq. I Think it is an issue we are running on resolutions not planned for EQ at the time it was made. Play with your fonts settings I have been able to make it better then what it is but I have never been able to remove it.
