The issue is not wether or not earth's climate has varied over the eons (it did) although how much atmosphere composition had to do with that im not aware, but the real issue is does the gas we keep pumping in our atmosphere, CO2 and methane, a gas that will warm a climate?

Short answer: Yes
Long answer: Yes

Is it stupid to play russian roulette with something as complex and fragile as the earth's climate when there are alternative technologies we could use (solar, wind) where we dont have to take these risks?

Short answer: Yes
Long answer: Yes

Funny how someone concerned with saving the environment and stopping the extinction of species would promote the deforestation on thousands of square miles to set up wind and solar farms to supply power realize we in the us have over 100 nuclear power plants that will exceed their life spans in the next 20 years ...... do you understand how much power we gain from those plants ? Do you realize the wackjob environmentalists have made it so hard and economically unfeasible that we dont open new plants which will force us back to relying on coal for our main power supply ?
Please if you want to stand for somthing and help the world we live in get to know the facts of the matters you support

They did the math in Quebec, we have a 100 times the potential for wind power as we are producing from Hydro-electricity right now, and we are exporting electricity, to New York mainly. The problem is corruption and vested interests with make any such change harder than it should be.

Yeah some wackjobs think the risks arent worth something like Fukushima and Chernobul when there are alternatives.

You could put solar panels practically everywhere in a city

You said wind power not solar power and besides solar power is not reliable nor feasible in all applications
