Egalitarianism doesn't operate as its own thing without any context. This is basically what everything post first-wave feminism is all about, and what so many people fail to understand. You can't just shoehorn egalitarianism into a world where ethnic minorities and women have been brutally subjugated for hundreds of years. Slavery wasn't four hundred years ago. Women couldn't even vote less than a century ago.

People deserve compensation for it. Women still don't get to walk around in this society without the fear of rape. The term "feminazi" is wholly sexist and simply designed to ridicule and denigrate women who are rightfully angry about the shitty state of affairs the world has been through and is still in.

Egalitarianism doesn't operate in a void. Taking an exact definition of anything from a textbook and attempting to stringently apply it to the real world completely disregards everything that has happened in the past.

Blaming the child for the sins of the parents is the fatal flaw in your line of thinking. Holding a grudge helps nobody and to think otherwise will only doom you to repeat history.
