Yes, paladins are only on Alliance right now.
I just set this up figured I'd give it a go since I never played WoW and am trying to see what all the hype was about. So any pointers on classes, races, skills, zone leveling, ETC for me at this point in time?

I am giving it a go as well depending how buggy the game is. Creating a warrior i think and not sure what faction.

Depends on your play style to give pointers!

I could give you all sorts of pointers if it is really a classic server. I'm not sure if they wrote their code or can somehow use blizzard's, etc.

Originally I had a 60 druid on Burning Legion pvp for retail. The last time I tried wow was the emerald dream [vanilla] emu circa.. 2012? Some things were different from what I was expecting, and ultimately why I was asking how close to live classic this would be.
