that npc they forgot to remove in qeynos you could do instanced missions for boatloads of xp and gear that wouldn't exist for 8 expansions.
That Qeynos Hills instance was interesting because no one ever really did it before progression, so some people had all this random loot that's still not documented anywhere. Allakhazam lists 5 rewards, but there was a lot more. I used that earring for awhile. There was some nautical themed shield that 1 or 2 people on the server had that was very nice, I assume it comes from this instance.

However the most exploited NPC was this guy:

He had a lot less items listed in his loot table before progression. I'm pretty sure there was other stuff that's still not listed there. He was essentially a raid mob on a 20-30 minute respawn. Farming him was actually kinda fun, but they did eventually remove him from The Combine and The Sleeper.

A lot of that stuff still doesn't compare to the hot zone loot that was never removed:

from CoM, and

from KC were particularly powerful for the era.

RoI spent a lot of time farming this guy, and a GM came along (Ohilin or w/e his name was) and removed everyone's items. Yet he let FoH keep all their overpowered knight swords from revamped pohate 2nd floor.

Remember those shields well, they were everywhere. Same with that weapon.

I myself farmed this guy constantly:

Was an easy camp and I could just easily run the lores to my mule before the respawn. Had a few hundred k before velious which was a lot for those new/fast moving servers.

Fun server but so very half assed.
